New Music with Bridge Collective

The Bridge Collective is back! They are a unique chamber ensemble comprised of oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, and double bass is back with new music by local composers. You will hear new music from familiar names including Ariel Wang, Marissa Deitz, Monica Chew, Nathan Swedlow, Emil Margolis, Lewis Patzner, Sean Emmett Thompson, and Derek Sup.  The unconventional instrumentation of oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, and bass was popularized by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev with his Quintet in G minor, Op. 39 written in 1924.
